THURSDAY'S FORECAST ... Hot; chance of evening showers

An increased rain chance remains in the forecast as we head toward the end of the week.

A 60 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms – some of them possibly heavy – is in Thursday’s forecast.

Daytime highs will reach the lower 90s.

For Thursday night, expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Chance of rain is 40 percent.

Overnight low will drop to 75.

For Friday, a 50 percent chance of rain is in the forecast. Highs will reach the lower 90s.

Lows will dip in to the mid 70s.

The same pattern will continue throughout the weekend.
