A native of Lubbock, Texas, a resident of French Settlement, and a homemaker, she died on June 16, 2012. A memorial service was held at Ascension Baptist Church in Gonzales on Friday, June 22.

Clausen, Dana Todd 

A resident of Gonzales, he passed away June, 24, 2012 at the age of 58. Memorial service at a later date, arranged by Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales,

Crowe, Jane Francis

A native of Brownsville, Texas, and resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. She was 79 years old. A graveside service was held at Oak Lane Memorial Park, Prairieville on Saturday, June 23.

Day, Gwen Dee Lynn

A resident of Prairieville, she died in Port Vincent on June 19, 2012. She was 44 years old. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Church Funeral Services, St. Amant,

Godwin Jr., Robert W.

A resident of Gonzales, he died Monday, June 18, 2012 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 47 years old. He was an instrument tech designer for 25 years. A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Klein, Monica Solar “Lou Lou”

A homemaker and resident of Gonzales, she died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a native of Napoleonville. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery.

May, Bessie Marie Gautreau “Maw Maw”

A lifelong resident of Prairieville, she passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born on August 11, 1919 and was a graduate of Dutchtown High School. Burial in Prairieville Community Cemetery.

Quezaire, Frances Sullivan 

A retired self-employed seamstress and housekeeper for the Daughters of Charity, she died at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at her home. She was 93 and a resident and native of Donaldsonville. Interment in Ascension Catholic Cemetery. 

Stafford, Jesse C.

A native of Baton Rouge and resident of Prairieville, he passed away on his birthday, June 8, 2012. A Memorial service was held on Saturday, June 23,  at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville.

Trippi Sr., Joseph Paul “Joe”

He died at 1 a.m. on June 19, 2012 at the Carpenter's House in Baton Rouge. He was 74 and a native of Gonzales, and a resident of French Settlement. He served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1958 and was a retired Long Shoreman. Interment will be at Oak Lane Memorial Park. 

Usey, Bessie R.

A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Gonzales, she passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the age of 94. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. 

Valenti, Joseph Francis “Joey”

A retired lab technician for BASF and a resident of Prairieville, he passed away at 1:45 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012. He was 52 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 8484 Old Hammond Hwy., on Thursday, June 28, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by Don Bohicke. 

Wood, Anne Gertrude 

A native of Welcome and Vacherie, and a resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 26, 2012 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was 67. She graduated from St. James High School in 1962. She worked for Bellsouth Telephone as an operator, St. James Parish School Board as a Title One Aide, SHRM as an offshore steward, Bunge Towing and AEP River Operations as a line boat cook. She was a member of the Marion Servants, Catholic Daughters, and she also played guitar and sang in numerous church choirs. She was a volunteer for the Steubenville Youth Conference. She was also a Eucharistic Minister. Anne loved life and Jesus, and was dearly loved by her family and numerous friends. She is survived by her daughters and a son-in-law, Melissa P. Gabriel and Charles Sr., Jennifer M. Perque; son, Harry P. Perque Jr.; grandchildren, Charles G. and Kristen Gabriel, Coby C. Perque, Dylan A. and Caleb J. Ponvelle, Elizabeth Perque; brothers and sisters-in-law, James J. Wood Jr. and Annabel, of St. James, Kenneth Wood Sr. and Kate, of Houma, Gregory Wood Sr. and Evelyn, of Prairieville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia Bolton and William, of Thibodaux, Dorothy Wood, of Jackson, MS, Martha Schexnayder and Edgar Jr., of St. Amant, Marilyn Rougee and Ralph, of Metairie, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Stein, of Vacherie; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anne Rodrigue and James J. Wood Sr.; and nephew, Edgar Schexnayder III. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 28, at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in St. Amant, from 9 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Koehler, celebrant.  Entombment will be in the church cemetery.
