Girl saves sister from drowning in pool
Gonzales Chief of Police Sherman Jackson praised a 12-year-old girl who saved her little cousin from drowning in the family pool.
Two-year-old Tristen Brown fallen underwater trying to get a beach ball from the deep end of the pool.
His 12-year-old cousin Maikayla Brunner quickly stepped in and pulled the child to safety.
“Her daddy taught the children how to save someone from drowning when they put the pool in,” said Shirley Harrington, grandmother of the children.
Chief Jackson honored Maikayla for her efforts.
