I-10 Eastbound to close for repairs
The following closure will be in place the night of Wednesday, November 30, beginning at 9 p.m., with lanes reopening Thursday morning at 5 a.m., and will close again at 9 p.m. on the night of Thursday, December 1, and reopen the next morning at 5 a.m.
Eastbound I-10 in Baton Rouge from Siegen Lane to the Pecue Overpass will be reduced to one lane for concrete removal.
This closures will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or less to pass through the construction zone.
I-10 Eastbound will be open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles traveling east on I-10 must detour to I-12 at the 10/12 split, travel east along I-12, and use Exit 2A (US-61 South / Airline Hwy). Oversize vehicles traveling west on I-12 must detour using Exit 2A (US-61 South / Airline Hwy). Diverted traffic will be able to reach I-10 by traveling south along US-61 until reaching the I-10 on-ramp near Sorrento.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and to be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
