BATON ROUGE - LSU safety Eric Reid picked up a third honor for the week on Friday as the sophomore has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced.
Earlier this week, Reid was named the Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week as well as being named the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in LSU's 9-6 overtime win over second-ranked Alabama.
Reid maintains a 3.33 grade point average in business administration.
For the season, Reid ranks second on the team with 49 tackles along with 2.0 tackles for loss. He has two interceptions, including one on the 1-yard line in the fourth quarter of last week's win over Alabama.
