Ascension Parish high school football: Playoffs (first round)

Three Ascension Parish teams will be on the road in the opening round of the state football playoffs, while Dutchtown enters the postseason at home.

East Ascension (7-3) goes to Haughton (8-2) for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Also in Class 5A, No. 4 seed Dutchtown (10-0) hosts Ponchatoula (6-4).

In Class 1A, Ascension Catholic (4-6) travels to Monroe to take on No. 1 seed Ouachita Christian (10-0).

Class 3A's Donaldsonville (5-5) goes to Marksville (7-3).
