BATON?ROUGE?– St. Amant ran into a team on the rise Friday as the Gators clashed with District 5-5A foe Catholic.

After struggling through the pre-district schedule, Catholic (3-6, 3-1 in district) has turned the momentum its way late in the season. The homestanding Bears took control against the Gators and claimed a 28-7 win.
