St. Louis Rams surprise New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and running back Pierre Thomas prepare for an offensive play.

The New Orleans Saints were upset in a 31-21 loss to the St. Louis Rams Sunday.

Trailing 24-0 with two minutes left in the third quarter, the Saints scored 14 unanswered points but a late interception thwarted the comeback.

Rams running back Steven Jackson recorded 159 yards and two touchdowns.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees went 30-of-44 passing for 269 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

The Saints will host the Tampa Bay Buccanneers Sunday at noon.
