The Saints broke their previous record of 51 points in a game (set on three occasions).
The 62 points matches the highest single-game total in the NFL since the 1970 merger.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw five touchdown passes. He finished 31-of-35 passing for 325 yards.
Marques Colston and Jimmy Graham each caught a pair of scores, and Darren Sproles added one.
