Donaldsonville falls to Port Allen
At Floyd Boutte Memorial Stadium, the Donaldsonville Tigers fell 34-30 to visiting district foe Port Allen.
The team sported their pink socks and other gear, along with coaches all wearing pink shirts in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Fans also joined in as they painted the town pink and honored several breast cancer survivors during halftime. Wanda August, a breast cancer survivor, was recognized this year by the Tiger team.
“We just want to show our support for fighting breast cancer,” said Donaldsonville h ead coach Terence Williams. “It makes a difference when you have support.”
Tigers quarterback Devon Breaux provided 367 yards of total offense. He ran for 141 yards on 24 carries with touchdown runs of 15 and 1 yards for Donaldsonville.
The Tigers play the Brusly Panthers in a District 7-3A battle on Friday.
