St. Amant's Brandon Rogers and Desmond Price pursue Dutchtown running back Landon Collins.

Dutchtown will host East Ascension to highlight week seven action.

Dutchtown, ranked second in Class 5A, enter the game with a 6-0 record. The Griffins posted a 48-14 win over St. Amant last week. It was the first District 5-5A game for Dutchtown.

East Ascension (4-2) looks to bounce back from a 15-12 homecoming loss to district foe McKinley.

Dutchtown has found a spark from standout Landon Collins, who has rushed for over 700 yards as a part-time running back. His long touchdown run last week helped put the game away for the Griffins.

Wide receiver Shelby Christy has also been bright spot for the Griffins' offense so far this season.

As far as special teams, punter Terry Hughes leads the area with a 40-yard average.

East Ascension's ground game features running backs Jarmarcus Jarvis and Sione Palelei.

St. Amant (4-2) will travel to face district opponent Woodlawn.

Tyler Guillory leads the Gators at quarterback. He also contributes on special teams as punter.

Running back Trey Washington has proved to be a scoring threat out of the St. Amant backfield, as he is among the area rushing leaders.

In District 7-3A, Donaldsonville will be at E.D. White.

Quarterback Devon Breaux leads the state with over 1,600 passing yards. His favorite target has been Jaquel Gant, who has caught seven touchdown passes.

District 9-1A games include East Iberville at Ascension Catholic in Donaldsonville and East Iberville at Ascension Christian.

Collin Rowland leads Ascension Catholic at quarterback. His top targets have been Jake Lejeune and Alex Olivier.
