The 14 and Under 007s fastpitch softball team traveled to Beaumont, Texas, the weekend of Oct. 1 to take on top teams from the Texas and Louisiana region in the USFA-sponsored Future Stars over Texas Battle Between the States.

It was the first tournament for the fall season for the girls, who are coached by Claudia Gremillion and Bonky King.

The 007s fell into the loser’s bracket Saturday night, but fought their way through six victories on Sunday as they took the championship by beating the Louisiana Pride of Lafayette by a score of 3-1.
