Early voting dates set for parish

Early voting for the October 22nd Gubernatorial Primary election begins on Saturday, October 8th and will continue on Monday, October 10th thru Saturday October 15th.  Anyone wishing to vote in this election may do so between the hours of 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM.

This election is being held for the  offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Commissioner of Agriculture, Commissioner of Insurance, BESE Districts 3, 6 and 8, State Senator 2nd Senatorial District, State Representative 58th and 88th, Ascension Parish President, Assessor, and Council members for Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 10.  There are five (5) proposed constitutional amendments.

Voters are required to bring a Louisiana driver’s license, a Louisiana special identification card or some other recognized photo identification.

Early voting is conducted in the Gonzales Registrar of Voters office at 828 S Irma Blvd Room 205 and the Donaldsonville Registrar of Voters office at 300 Houmas St. in Donaldsonville.

Voters may check their voter registration status and find further information for their individual ballot on the Secretary of State website.

The runoff election for these primaries will be held on November 19th.
