Parish PUD overlay repealed

Parish Council members and legal representatives were at the meeting to see if a repeal would be made on the PUD overlays in effect within certain parish districts.

Thursday nights Parish Council meeting saw a unanimous vote from Council members to repeal the PUD overlays within Districts 1, 2 and 3 of the parish.

Members of the public spoke against the PUDs, and council members felt the right decision would be for the repeal, as the overlays have been deemed to go against the rights of parish residents, especially those of land holders.
