Parish honors local Fire Chief with James E. LeBlanc Day

Thursday evening's Parish Council meeting saw St. Amant volunteer Fire Chief, James E. LeBlanc being honored for all of the volunteer activities he performs throughout Ascension Parish.

Parish President Tommy Martinez presented LeBlanc with the honor, as LeBlanc's friends and family looked on. August 25 will now be known throughout the parish as James E. LeBlanc Day.

"Thanks so much to all.," said LeBlanc. "We are very blessed to have the family and friends that we do.To have the Parish President and Ascension Parish Council name yesterday as James LeBlanc Day in Ascension Parish was more than I could have ever imagined in my career. Thank you Sheriff Jeff Wiley, Former Gonzales Mayor Johnny Berthelot, Parish President Tommy Martinez and Councilman Randy Clouatre Sr. for the presentation last night. Again, I am very honored."
