Grief sessions offered for children and adults

Staff reports

The Grief Recovery Center announces the expansion of the Grief Program for Children and Adolescents with the addition of grief groups.

The focus of the groups for children and teenagers will be to assist in understanding feelings, realizing they are not alone, and assisting in developing coping skills.  The focus of the parent grief groups will be to aid in understanding childhood and adolescent grief and to develop coping strategies to effectively assist grieving children and adolescents.

The group sessions will be free; however, space is limited. Parents need to call ahead to register themselves and their children for the group sessions. Dates and times of the group meetings will be given upon registration.
