Reports: Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy returned to family

Staff reports
New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush announced he will forfeit the 2005 Heisman Trophy he won at USC.

Several media outlets have reported that the Heisman Trophy won by former USC and current New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush is on the move.

Reportedly, the San Diego Hall of Champions (a sports museum in Bush's hometown) has given the trophy back to Bush's parents. It is unknown if his parents plan to return the award to the Heisman Trust in New York.

Last September, Bush announced he would forfeit the trophy after he was declared ineligible for the 2005 season by the NCAA. In a statement, he implied he was going to return the trophy. USC has returned its copy.

Bush was awarded the trophy after he amassed 2,218 yards and 19 touchdowns. He is the first player in the history of the award to forfeit it.
