Man indicted in death at local gentlemen’s club

Staff reports
Suthern Kumfort Lounge was the site of a beating death earlier this year.

A Prairieville man,?Zachary Pusch, was indicted on Thursday.

According to an Ascension?Parish District Attorney’s office spokesperson, Pusch, 20, or Prairieville, was indicted by an Ascension?Parish grand jury for the beating which led to the death of Wilson?Tanner IV, at Suthern Kumfort Lounge on May 4.

Pusch now faces charges of second-degree murder in the death of Tanner, 28, of St.?Amant.

Pusch will next be arraigned on July 11, where he can then enter a plea of guilty or not guilty.

The death occurred in the parking lot of the gentlemen’s club.

Recent discoveries stemming from the investigation of that murder have seen the lounge being shut down by local officials, as there was some question as to the true ownership of Suthern Kumfort’s license.

Investigations are also on-going for suspected criminal and alcohol control violations, and the falsifying of documents.
