Braud Jr., Leonce "Gill"

He was born Oct. 2, 1918 and was a lifelong resident of Sorrento. He died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II as a military policeman. Burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Benton, Dorothy Ellen "Maw Dot"

A homemaker and a resident and native of Sorrento, she died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at her home. She was 82. At her request, she was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Gonzales, Aliska Marie

A native of New Orleans, a homemaker and a resident of Gonzales, she died at the age of 50 on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at 8:30 a.m. Visitation was held at Ascension Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 25, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m.

Hall, Todd Quintin "Duke"

A painter and resident of Gonzales, he died Thursday morning Feb. 17, 2011, at Jackie Robinson Memorial Park, Geismar. He was 28 and a native of St. Gabriel. Interment in Hopeful Cemetery, Darrow.

McCrory, Edna

She was a resident of Prairieville and died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011. Visitation was held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, Feb. 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumed at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m.
