Members of the cast from The Ascension Community Theatre’s performance of ‘Nunsense’ dressed in costumes for a recent photo shoot promoting the performance.
The play tells the story of a group of nuns, the Little Sisters of Hoboken. Hilarity ensues when the cook at the convent accidently poisons some of the sisters food, leading to a financial crisis for the group.
The nuns get together and come up with an idea for a talent show style fundraiser which, according to ACT, leads to “one of the wackiest musical comedies that will leave you laughing all the way to the confessional.”
The performance will be at ACT, 823 Felicity St. in Gonzales, and will run from Feb. 24-27 and March 3-5, 2011.
Evening performances will begin at 7 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
