Veterans honor medal awards event planned in Gonzales

Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Lane Carson, along with Governor Bobby Jindal and Ascension Parish officials, will host a Louisiana Veterans Honor Medal ceremony to award medals to parish and surrounding area veterans, Monday, Jan. 10 at 2:45 p.m.

The ceremony will honor and thank parish and surrounding area veterans for their military service.  

Applications for the Honor Medal will be available at the event – veterans must bring a copy of their DD214 or discharge papers.
