This facility will house and care for a few small animals but mostly will be used as a teaching facility.  Plans include a lab and pens for animals to be brought in to be used in Veterinary Assistant program and Agriscience classes.

The facility will also be used to implement service learning projects for all students enrolled in the Agriculture Department which include students in Welding, Carpentry, Electricity, Horticulture/Landscaping, Agriscience I, II, III and Veterinary Assistant.

Square foot gardens, which are more manageable for the high school students, will be used to grow and experiment with different types of crops.  The crops will be marketed in a community farmer’s market open once or twice a week

An area for the public to visit and interact with animals and vegetation through community days, a farmer’s market and school field trips is also included in the overall goal.
