Parkview Baptist, White Castle represent area in football title games

The Eagles will face Patterson, which features LSU-commit Kenny Hilliard in the backfield, in the Class 3A final.

Dutchtown, which won a hard-fought 10-3 victory over Parkview Baptist in going 10-0 this year, advanced the deepest into the Class 5A playoffs among Ascension Parish teams, winning two postseason games. Donaldsonville also made a playoff run in the Class 2A playoffs.

In Class 1A, White Castle defeated Oberlin 20-0 to advance to the state championship game.

LSU commitment Ronald Martin and standout running back Tyree Bracken headline White Castle’s roster.

Head coach Ferrante Dominique, 29, played at Ascension Catholic before transferring to White Castle in the late 1990s.

The Bulldogs will take on Ouachita Christian.
