100th birthday celebration

Clara Floyd, left, will celebrate her 100 birthday on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Floyd was born 1910 in Claiborne County Miss., between Port Gibson and Vicksburg. She had eight children, five of whom are still living, 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 24 great- great-grandchildren. Floyd now resides in Gonzales.
