The annual High Heels for High Hopes for High Heels of March of Dimes Ladies Gala raised over $30,000 for premature babies during the event at Palazzo Bernardo in Donaldsonville Thursday night, event Chair Joell Hebert said.

Celebrity waiters from around the parish were on hand serving libations and dinner to ladies who participated in the event.

At the end of the night, following the meal, numerous prize giveaways, and a lineup of volunteer models wearing the latest clothing in a Style Show by Socialite, waiters tips were collected and tallied at their respective tables.

The winning waiter with the most collected tips was Dr.  P. Cary Aguillard.

Insurance executive Brett Hughes came in second place.

Sheriff Jeff Wiley was master of ceremonies for the event.

Waiter of the Year Dr. P. Cary Aquillard, left, Master of Ceremonies and Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley, and runner-up waiter Brett Hughes, thank the ladies for their attendance for the benefit of the March of Dimes.
