Representatives from the Office of Community Development’s Disaster Recovery Unit presented Ascension Parish Government with a Community Development Block Grant to be used towards the purchase of Lamar-Dixon Expo Center during the Oct. 21 Parish Council meeting.

The check was worth $4,690,700. According Grants Officer Martha Collins, this is the first of 12 projects to be funded through this funding agency.
