The Iron Tiger Martial Arts Tournament/Demo Team, led by Master Dwight Rush, attended the Silver Dragon Taekwondo Championship in Berwick Aug. 7.

The team members participating in the event were Rush, C.J. Young, Barrett Berard, Richie and Ethan Long and Joey Wilks.

The six members of the team placed in every event, bringing home a total of 11 medals, ranging from gold, silver and bronze.

The team thanked Silver Dragon Taekwondo Masters Brian Rutledge and Raymond Rutledge for the professional promotion of the event. They also recognized Master Andre’ Mellum and his students from Houma for their assistance in the preparation to ready the team for competition.

Iron Tiger Martial Arts is located in the LeBlanc Plaza Shopping Center at Airline Highway and Highway 44 in Gonzales. Traditional Taekwondo and Tactical Hapkido are taught in classes for men, women and children.
