Lamar-Dixon to host LHSRA Rodeo Finals

Tie-down calf roping is the just one of the 12 events that will be at the LHSRA finals next week at Lamar-Dixon Expo Center.

Cowboys and cowgirls from all over the state will gather at Lamar-Dixon Expo Center this week for the Louisiana High Rodeo Association (LHSRA) Finals on June 12-19.

The boys and girls cutting contest will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will conclude on Sunday at 10 a.m.

The first rodeo performance will be Sunday at 7 p.m. and will continue through Saturday. All performances will begin at 7 p.m. and will be in Arena D.

The crowning of the LHSFR queen will be at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to the final rodeo performance.

There will be a LHSRA Fashion Show on Wednesday. The models for the fashion show will be the high school rodeo contestants. 

The fashion show will raise money to benefit cancer awareness. The fashion show  will be held upstairs in the room above the arena. Everyone is welcome attend and food and drinks will be served.
