Traffic fatality in St. Amant

A woman died at the scene of this two-vehicle head-on collision on Hwy. 431 almost halfway between US 61 and Hwy 429 around noon on Thursday. State Police Troop A Spokesperson Russell Graham said the at fault driver in the wreck was driving impaired. The driver of each vehicle was transported by Acadian Ambulance  to a hospital with undetermined injuries, Graham said. No further details were available at press time.
