Cassidy hosts town hall meeting on oil spill

Louisiana Congressman Bill Cassidy announced that he will host a Town Hall Meeting at Dutchtown High School in Geismar, LA on Tuesday, June 1 from 5:30PM – 7:00PM.

“We need to apply the wisdom of the people of Sixth District as we confront this spill,” said Cassidy.  “This is an open forum for folks to share their thoughts and suggest solutions for protecting Louisiana’s coastal habitats, communities, and industries.”

In the Town Hall Meeting, Cassidy will discuss efforts to confront the oil spill, update constituents on recent oil spill hearings and potential legislative responses, and lead a conversation on strategies to protect and restore Louisiana’s coasts.
