Dutchtown advances to semi-finals with 4-2 win over Brother Martin

NEW ORLEANS - Dutchtown took a 4-2 win over Brother Martin in the quarterfinals of the Class 5A state tournament Friday night at Tulane University's Turchin Stadium.

Fourth-seeded Dutchtown will take on top-seeded Catholic Saturday at 2 p.m. in the semi-finals. Lafayette and Barbe will face off in the other semi-final game at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The championship game will be Saturday at 7 p.m.

Dutchtown downed fifth-seeded Brother Martin in the final game of the day Friday.

Dutchtown junior Jacob Williams earned the win as he went three innings, allowed no runs and five hits. Britt Gautreaux started the game and went four innings, allowing two runs and five hits.
