Dutchtown’s winning streak continues

Headed down the stretch in District 6-5A competition, Dutchtown has caught on to winning ways.

The Griffins have been on a five-game tear, downing Hahnville twice and East St. John twice.

In Dutchtown’s 6-4 win over Hahnville, senior pitcher Chris Boutwell improved to 3-0 on the mound as senior Jesse Buratt earned his tenth save of the season.

Buratt also hit a home run and record two RBIs in th e game.

Leon Blouin also tallied two RBIs on 1-for-3 hitting. Mason Nickens went 2-for-4.

In the Griffins’ first match with East St. John, senior Britt Gautreaux earned his second win of the season on the mound as Dutchtown coasted to a 20-4 win.

Gautreaux, an LSU-Eunice signee, also batted 2-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBIs.

Blouin also knocked a home run, double and RBI.

In the second game, the Griffins shutout East St. John, 10-0.

Senior pitcher Court Schwing notched his fourth win on the mound.

Jacob Williams went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Buratt finished 2-for-2 with a double and RBI. And Matt Willis also had an RBI on 2-for 3 hitting.
