East Ascension senior Rachel LeCoq pitched a complete-game in the Spartans' 7-1 regional win against St. Joseph's Friday afternoon.

Catcher Tiffany Robinson hit a three-run home run in the first inning, and second baseman Kyleigh LeBlanc blasted a two-run home run in the fifth. Brooke Courville added two RBIs late in the game.

The Spartans, seeded No. 2, will play No. 7 Zachary (25-9) in a LHSAA State Softball Tournament quarterfinal game Friday at Frasch Park in Sulphur.

Zachary advanced with a 4-1 regional victory over Fontainebleau.
