Easter was a little brighter Sunday in the Gonzales as Kansas City Chief’s Defensive Tackle Glenn Dorsey and his Dream Big Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Children and adults alike gathered at Dorsey’s family home on W. Bluebird St. to celebrate and fellowship with family, friends and neighbors.

“This is just the tip of the iceberg for me and my foundation,” Dorsey said. “The City of Gonzales and my neighborhood and family have done so much for me that I only see fit to give back and bring attention and positivity to this community.”

Children ranging in size from infants to teens participated in an egg hunt, games, contests and more. Two lucky children that collected the most eggs received jumbo baskets filled with toys, candy and other special treats.

Over 100 neighbors and citizens of Gonzales came out to support Dorsey as he continues to develop his non-profit organization entitled “The Dream Big Foundation.”

“Dream Big encourages children to not place limits on their goals in life,” Dorsey said of his foundation. “ All out initiatives will be to empower and uplift our youth to dream big and focus to make their dreams true no matter what they are.”

Dorsey said he plans to host a series of events throughout the summer with The Dream Big Foundation.
