Brignac, Lula Bell Gautreau

She passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at age 85. She was a resident of St. Amant. Burial in Lake Cemetery. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Altar Society.

Brooks, Mary Ann

A retired transportation employee with the Council of Aging, she died at 11:24 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, in Sorrento. She was 65 and a resident and native of Donaldsonville. Entombment in Ascension Catholic Mausoleum.

Farlow, Edna Mae Tullier

A homemaker and a resident of Prairieville, she died at 3:27 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at the Butterfly Wing of Ollie Steele Burden Manor. She was 89 and a native of Sorrento. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Faucheux, Nelson

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:38 A resident of Grand Point, Nelson Faucheux died as a result of a vehicle accident that occurred on Feb. 10, 2010. He was 72 years old and was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army and a retiree of Freeport McMoRan. He was also a very talented wood carver and artist. Visiting was held at Rose Lynn Funeral Home in Lutcher on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 6-9 p.m. and at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina on Monday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. until a noon Mass followed by burial. Nelson is survived by his daughter Lisa Bacala and son-in-law Tony Bacala and their children: Anthony, Aaron, and Angelica; his son Jerome Faucheux and daughter-in-law Stephanie and their children: Gabrielle and Chole; his daughter-in-law Kathy and her children: Corey, Mitch, Ben, and Emily. His is also survived by his brother Arcade Faucheux and his wife Jeanie; his sister Cathy Cashio and her husband Bennie; his sister Jeanette McMellon and her husband Charles; all of their children and grandchildren, and his sister Marie Faucheux. He was accompanied in death by his wife Shirley and son Gerard and is preceded in death by a son Jeffrey, a granddaughter Laura, and by his parents: Elmore Faucheux and Grace Zeringue Faucheux. Faucheux, Shirley Myers

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7 A resident of Grand Point, Shirley Faucheux died as a result of a vehicle accident that occurred on Feb. 10, 2010. She was 72 years old and was a retiree of the St. James Parish School Board. Shirley was an amazing cook and “mother” to all. Visiting was held at Rose Lynn Funeral Home in Lutcher on Sunday, Feb. 14 from 6-9 p.m. and at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina on Monday, Feb.15 from 9 a.m. until a noon Mass followed by burial. Myers and mother Lucy Robinson Myers; as well as by her brothers: James Myers, Billy Myers, O.J. Loupe, Patsy Melancon

She passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, after a  battle with cancer. She was 68 and a resident of Maurepas. Visiting at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, Maurepas, on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial in Whitehall Community Cemetery.

Prater, Constance Ann Krebs

A native of Anderson, Ind., and a resident of Gonzales, she died at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010. She was 74. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Anderson. Her immediate family will gather in Biloxi, Miss., and celebrate all 74 years of her life.
