Dupuy, Leon P.

A native and resident of Maurepas and a retired heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 406, he passed away at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at his home. He was 83 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, when he served as a military policeman. Interment to follow in Maurepas Community Cemetery. He was a member of American Legion Post 254 and Local Union 406.

Mayers, Ernest Paul

A retired electrician and carpenter, he died at 10:40 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at his home in St. Amant following an extended illness. He was 66 and a native of Morgan City. Visitation at Healing Place Church on Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m.

Rambin, Thomas Giles

A retired employee of Shell Chemical in Geismar, he died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at his home in St. Amant. He was 82, a native of Rambin and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War who received a Purple Heart Medal for being wounded in the line of duty. Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Rambin, following visitation.

Reed, Lennie Michael “Tug Boat Mike”

A tugboat captain, he died at 6:53 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at his home in Geismar after a long battle with cancer. He was 52 and a native of New Orleans.Interment in Mount Zion Cemetery.
