Bergeron, Rhonda Matherne

A housekeeper at St. Elizabeth Hospital and resident of Maurepas, she died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 52 and a native of French Settlement. Religious service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement on Friday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m.

Braud, Mitchel Windom “LuLu”

A resident of Gonzales and native of Duplessis, he died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009. He was 89. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II and recipient of a Driver's Award and Bronze Star. He was a retired member of Iron Workers Local Union 623 and a member of American Legion Post 81. Interment in Prairieville Cemetery.

Eves Sr.. Byrns Michael

He died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at his home in Ascension Parish. A memorial service will be at First United Methodist Church of Gonzales Saturday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Following the service will be a reception in The Celebration Center. Interment of the ashes will be in Pythian Cemetery, Bunkie, at a later date. In 1968, he became a real estate broker in Ascension Parish until his retirement in 2007.

Gautreau, Virgie Marie

She was 83 and died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at 9:57 p.m. She was a native of St. Amant and resident of Gonzales. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Friday, Dec. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales, Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment in the St. Theresa Catholic Church Cemetery, Gonzales.

Guillory Sr., Scott Patrick

A native of St. Charles and resident of Prairieville, he died at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales, Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at age 42. There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Catholic Church, Prairieville, on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Quamme Jr., Ronald Edward

A resident of Maurepas, he died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at home. He was 42 and a native of Minnesota. He served in the Army with the rank of E-4 and was a painter and sandblaster. Interment in Maurepas Baptist Church Cemetary.
