A resident of Prairieville, and a native of Garyville, he died at 9:05 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Carpenter House. He was 91. Burial in Carpenter's Chapel Cemetery.

Coleman-Woolsey, Emma Jean

A resident of Prairieville, she died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at her home. She was 72 and a native of Lizmore. Interment in Salem Cemetery, Walker.

Clouatre, Sandra “Nana”

A day-care center owner, she died at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 50 and a resident of Gonzales. Interment in Faithful Methodist Church Cemetery.

Griham, Rosie Lee

A homemaker, resident of Gonzales and native of Catahoula, she died Thursday, Nov. 5. 2009. Visiting at St. Paul Baptist Church, Gonzales, on Friday from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.

Kelley, Hardy Joseph “H.J.”

He was 75 and died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at 1:47 a.m. at his home in Galvez. He served in the Louisiana National Guard. Interment in Oak Lane Memorial Park. He was a member of IBEW Local 995 and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.

Landry Sr., Frank Luke “Whitey”

A retired butcher and resident of Donaldsonville, he died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at D’Ville House in Donaldsonville. He was 82 and a native of White Castle. Interment in Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine.

Leblanc Sr., Dudley Raymond

A retired musician and carpenter, he died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009. He was 77, a resident of St. Amant and native of Gonzales. Interment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Amant.

Lewis, J.D.

A resident of Prairieville, he died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was 73. Religious service at Lawson Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment in Community Cemetery, Prairieville.

Marchand, Violet Mae LeBlanc “Mino”

She was a retired teacher and principal at Donaldsonville High School. She died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009. She was 91, born in Smoke Bend on June 27, 1918. She graduated from St. Vincent Institute in Donaldsonville, St. Mary's Dominican College and Nicholls State University. Visitation at Ourso’s Funeral Home in Donaldsonville on Friday, Nov. 13, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, at noon. Interment will be in the Marchand family tomb in the church cemetery.

Michel, Juliette Margaret Lessard

Juliette Margaret Lessard Michel, departed this life to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. She was 92 and a native of Ascension Parish, where she lived her life.  Funeral will be held at Holy Rosary Church on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 with visitation from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m.

Murphy, Esther Lee Achord Watts

She died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 70, a resident of French Settlement and a native of Walker. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, French Settlement.

Singleton, Ira Dion "Ira-D"

A native and resident of Donaldsonville, he died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his home at age 47. He was employed by the Walmart in Donaldsonville and affiliated with the Donaldsonville ARC for many years. Visiting at Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Abend, on Friday, Nov. 13, from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in church cemetery.
