Electronics collection day set
Residents can dispose of old analog televisions and electronics Saturday, Nov. 21 from 8 a.m.-noon at the Ascension Civic Center in Sorrento.
The following items will be accepted:
• Televisions
• Computer hardware and accessories (keyboards, mice, speakers, etc.)
• Telephones and telephone systems
• Security systems
• Cell phones/bag phones
• DVD movies and video games
• MP3 players
• Xbox, Playstation and Wii game consoles
• Digital cameras and digital video cameras
• Digital picture frames
• Portable navigation and GPS devices
• Beepers
• Networking equipment
• Fax machines
• Circuit boards (any type)
• Processors
• Monitors
• Telephone and computer cables
• Uninterruptable power supplies (UPS)
• Printers
• Toner and ink jet cartridges
The TV/Electronics Collection Day will be a one-time recycling event and is being held in addition to the regular monthly Recycling Road Show, which will be Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Prairieville.
The day is sponsored by Ascension Parish Government, the municipalities of Gonzales, Donaldsonville and Sorrento, Keep Ascension Beautiful and the Ascension Parish School Board.
