WEATHER: Tropical storms form in Atlantic

National forecasters reported the first two tropical storms of the season have formed over the last 24 hours. Tropical Storm Ana and Tropical Storm Bill are currently being tracked.

Ana is about 805 miles east-southeast of the Leeward Islands.

Bill formed in the far eastern Atlantic.

As for the forecast in the Gonzales area, a chance of showers and thunderstorms remain.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 76. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90.
