Cassidy announces Ascension town hall meeting

WASHINGTON – Congressman Bill Cassidy, a Republican from Baton Rouge who represents a portion of Ascension Parish, announced a series of Town Hall Meetings he will host over the congressional summer recess.

Cassidy will host the Ascension meeting at Dutchtown High School Aug. 17 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

“From reforming health care to rebuilding our economy, Congress is working on issues that affect every one of us in Louisiana,” the congressman said. “I’m hosting these meetings to listen and learn.”

At the meetings, Cassidy will provide an update on recent legislative activity, discuss his support for fundamental health care reform that lowers costs by empowering patients, and lead a conversation about the values and issues important to those who attend.

Cassidy will also host a meeting at the Livingston Parish Health Unit, 29261 Frost Road, Aug. 25 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
