Baton Rouge loop discussed

Steve Wallace, the lead engineer of the proposed Baton Rouge loop project, visited the Rotary Club of North Ascension on Wednesday.

He said there are multiple options for the project, and some combination of public and private funds will probably be needed.

The loop plan includes a southern route which would stretch south of Gonzales as it cuts through Ascension Parish to connect to Interstate 12 east of Walker. It would also connect west of Port Allen on Interstate 10.
