Antee, Kenneth Wayne “Kenny”       

He was 57 and passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009, at his home. He was a master mechanic and was the proprietor of Antee’s Fleet Service. Interment in Friendship Baptist Church, Pine Prairie.

Joseph, Lawrence   

A retired custodian and a lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 2:10 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville. He was 50. Interment in the Mount Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery.

Joseph Sr., Ricky Clarence “Little Rock”

A retired custodian and a lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, he died at midnight Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He was 52. Interment in the Mount Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery, Donaldsonville.

Pophal, Iwider Boyd Gentry “Weda”       

Iwider “Weda” Boyd Gentry Pophal, 81, of Prairieville, formerly of Pensacola, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009. She was born on Sept. 26, 1927, in Pensacola and worked for 17 years with Monsanto as a lab technician. Burial will follow in Roberts Cemetery.

Preston, John       

A retired school bus driver with the Ascension Parish school system, he died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 75, a resident of Donaldsonville and a native of McCall. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member and deacon of Mount Triumph Baptist Church and a member of Over the Hill Gang.

Villar, Mary Katherine        

A native and resident of Lake, she died Friday, April 24, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. She was 86 and a retired food service technician with the Ascension Parish school system. Interment in Lake Cemetery.
