WEATHER ALERT: Risk of severe conditions remain

The National Weather Service reports a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms remains to the north of the Interstate 12 corridor in southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi through tonight.

A slight risk of severe thunderstorms remains over the remainder of southeastern Louisiana and coastal Mississippi.

The highest risk of thunderstorm activity will be late tonight through early Saturday morning.

Heavy rainfall is possible tonight. A flash flood watch has been issued for the area.
