Cassidy meets with Ascension officials

Congressman Bill Cassidy met with officials from Ascension Parish, who briefed him on local developments and Ascension Parish’s legislative priorities. The Baton Rouge Republican represents the 6th Congressional District, which includes the northern portion of Ascension Parish. “I enjoyed receiving a firsthand account of Ascension Parish’s progress and priorities,” said Cassidy. “Ascension has significant infrastructure needs. I look forward to working with the parish on these projects to strengthen its economy.” Cassidy met with Ascension Parish Chief Administrative Officer Cedric Grant and Councilmen Todd Lambert and Benny Johnson in Cassidy’s Washington, D.C. office. Following a briefing on developments in the parish, they discussed specific priorities like Highways 42 and 44, water and sewer projects, and wetlands issues.
