Arceneaux, Alberta Pezzolla    

A native of Rome, Italy, she passed away at her residence in Gonzales on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at 6:53 pm. She was 85. Entombment in Hope Haven Mausoleum, Gonzales.

Brewer, Rodney James

A loving son, brother, and friend, has drowned in the gulf near Long Beach Mississippi  from a boating accident on Nov. 10, 2008. He was 41 years old and a resident of French Settlement.  Visiting will be held Saturday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a service at 11 a.m. He is survived by his mother, Anna Rose Lessard Brewer and Gary Johns of French Settlement; his father and step-mother, James “Jimmy” and Pearl Brewer of Long Beach Mississippi, formally of Sorrento; brother Hartford “Dago” Bennett; sisters and brother-in-laws, Rhonda and Van Edmonston, and Tammy Lynn and Marvin Golden, all of French Settlement; step-sisters, Debbie and Keith Schott,  and Daphne Zeringue, all from Long Beach Mississippi; and P.J. and Aaron Odom from Alabama, all formally from Sorrento. He will be missed by all who knew him including co-workers of Long Beach Mississippi, and family and friends in Crystal Springs, Miss.

Jacobs, Catherine “Cat”    

A homemaker, she died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Prevost Memorial Hospital, Donaldsonville. She was 61, a native of Plattenville and a resident of Donaldsonville. Visiting at Virginia Baptist Church, Ewellville, on Friday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lloyd Jones. Burial in the church cemetery.

Howser, Adele Marie   

She passed on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, of complications due to an automobile accident. She was 87, a resident of Donaldsonville for 24 years and a native of Klotzville. She was a devout Catholic all her life and a precious soul who will be missed.   Entombment in St. Elizabeth Mausoleum.

Johnson, Sophie       

A retired laborer with the Ascension Parish Public Works department and resident of Gonzales, she died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Port Allen Care Center. She was 67 and a native of Baton Rouge. Interment in Community Cemetery.

Morehead, Karen Ann   

She passed on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, due to an auto accident. She was 53, a resident of Donaldsonville for 24 years and a native of Boca Raton, Fla. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Friday, Nov. 21, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Religious service at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Paincourtville, on Friday at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jason Labbé. Entombment in St. Elizabeth Mausoleum.

Ritchie, Robert H. “Bob”    

A retired plant manager and a resident of Gonzales, he died at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Baton Rouge Hospice. He was 67, a native of Delaware, Pa., and a U.S. Navy veteran. Memorial Mass will be at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Darrow, on Saturday, Nov. 22, with the Rev. Michael Galea, celebrant. He was a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Ziegler, Emma Joyce   

A homemaker and native of New Orleans, Emma Joyce Ziegler, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at her home in Gonzales. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, Nov. 21, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service at noon. Interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery. She attended New Orleans public schools and was a member of Crescent City Baptist Church.
