Aanifa LeBlanc

Bourgeois, Raoul Clement        

A resident of Acy, he was born on Dec. 13, 1931, and died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008. He was 76 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  Entombment in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church mausoleum.

Lanclos Jr., Joseph Steve        

He was 64 and a native of Arnaudville. He was a retired plant operator with BASF where he was employed for 38 years. He died peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at his home in Gonzales. Interment in Household of Faith Cemetery.

Melancon, Onedia Rita Gautreau “Sis”        

She died at Gonzales Healthcare Center on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at 4:40 a.m. She was 83 and was born Sept. 21, 1925. She grew up in Prairieville, graduated from Dutchtown High School in 1944 and was a resident of Gonzales. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. She was a lifelong member of the K of C Ladies Auxiliary and the Altar Society in Prairieville, Gonzales and Belle Chasse, the Catholic Daughters and the Daughters of the Confederacy.

Russelburg, Beverly Katherine “Kay”       

Beverly Katherine "Kay" Russelburg, 58, a native of Waverly, Ky., and a resident of Prairieville, died at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Prairieville.  She had an associate’s degree from the University of Kentucky.

Thibodeaux, Theresa O. Wilson

A native of Gonzales and a resident of Oakland, Calif. She died on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at her home in Oakland. She was 76. She was a former teacher of Lowery High School and Carver Elementary School. She was also a retired principal in the Oakland, California school system. Religious service will be held at St. Landry United Methodist Church, 3209 St. Landry Ave., Gonzales, La., on Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. Services conducted by Rev. Constance Saizon. She is survived by three children, Sherri (Mark) Hart, Derron (Tasha) Thibodeaux, and Robyn Thibodeaux; five grandchildren; two brothers, Robert and Leo Wilson of Gonzales, and a host of family and friends.
