Parish Republican committee endorses Thibodeaux in 2nd Justice Court constable runoff

Danny Thibodeaux of Prairieville has won the endorsement of the Ascension Republican Parish Executive Committee in his race for Constable 2nd Justice Court of Ascension Parish. The seat is being vacated by Steve Juneau who has chosen not to seek re-election.

Thibodeaux, a life long resident of Ascension Parish, has been an employee of Shell Chemical LP in Geismar for 33 years. His community involvement has included being a fire fighter with the Prairieville Volunteer Fire Department and coaching youth softball and basketball with Ascension Parish and Gonzales city recreation organizations. He currently serves as a reserve deputy sheriff with the Ascension Parish Sheriff Office where he is a member of the Water Patrol Team and the Hazardous Materials Response Team.

“Danny is the man for the job,” said Rhett Bourgeois, vice chairman of the Ascension Republican Parish Executive Committee. “His commitment to the community is evidenced by his long history of volunteer work and community service. His background is perfect for being a constable.”

The runoff will be decided Nov. 4 in the general election.
