Ardillo, Marie Louise Babin

She was born on June 24, 1917, and passed away at 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the D'Ville House Nursing Home, Donaldsonville. She was 91, a native of Morganza, a resident Donaldsonville and a former resident of Amite.  Her body was donated to science at her request.

Hughes, Theresa Jill Turner

Theresa Jill Turner Hughes, 57, lost her nine-year battle with cancer on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008. She finished her fight just like she spent every day of it, fighting to do what she could to find a cure for this dreaded disease. She began her life on March 21, 1951, in Kentucky, was raised in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and moved to Louisiana in 1980, spending the last 21 years as a resident of Gonzales. Survived by her husband, Lester Hughes, Gonzales; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua M. and Jamee Klipstein, Gonzales; beloved grandchildren, Trevor and Trinity Klipstein; mother, Martha Turner, Navarre, Fla.; brother, Michael Turner, Tallahassee, Fla.; sister, Randa Pesz, Springfield, Tenn.; and her brother, David Turner, Navarre; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her father, Aubrey M. Turner. Pallbearers will be Michael Turner, David Turner, Lane Glaze, Michael Glaze, Ryan Glaze and Kenneth Turner. Visitation was held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumed at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Traigle, Gloria Banta Poche

She was 83 and died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery, La. 30, Gonzales. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and a former lector at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church.
