POLITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT: James seeks constable position for 2nd Judicial Court

Richard James recently announced his candidacy for the office of Constable to the 2nd Justice Court District of Ascension Parish.

Voters in the district will decide on the position during this fall’s elections.

James formerly served as a member of the Gonzales Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Team for more than 10 years and was also a member of The Gonzales Mounted Posse Division.

“As your constable, I will work hard with the justice of the peace to make sure we achieve our goals,” James said.

A resident of Gonzales for 49 years, James graduated in 1978 from East Ascension High School. He has been married for 30 years to Denise Kenney James. The couple has two sons – Richard Jr. and daughter in-law Rani Bourgeois James and grandson Reed, and son Ty James.
